  • The short answer is usually within 1-3 days. We know you need your car running as soon as possible so we do our best to keep lead times low.

    We make every battery to order so that we are measuring and grouping modules into as balanced pack as possible. The current schedule and battery yield may affect lead times.

  • Our Service Area Includes: Delaware, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, North Carolina, Tennessee, and South Carolina. We are based out of Pittsboro North Carolina but are Entirely Mobile meaning we come to you!

  • Every Refurbished Battery uses Modules from other Batteries! Yay Recycling! Our Refurbished Modules undergo Rigorous Testing and are Balanced before Installed in your Vehicle. We Replace the whole Battery to ensure it is properly balanced and the external components are in proper working order.

  • Call or order online to request an install. We will contact you to confirm the installation appointment. We ask for a 2 hour window for the installation. Typically it takes around 1 to 1.5 hours. Please clear out the backseat/trunk area so we have access to the battery.

    We require a $250 Deposit to secure your appointment time. The deposit is subtracted from the total cost.

    A friendly Technician will meet you for the installation. The Technician will scan your vehicles trouble codes. We will report what we find to you, there may be more codes present that don't directly relate to the hybrid battery. We do not guarantee that all car warning codes will be removed as some may need time to clear, or not be directly related to the hybrid battery installation such as an engine or transmission issue.

    Once complete, we test drive the vehicle. We do this because the battery smart unit, which monitors the voltage of the battery blocks, determines that a malfunction has occurred if a voltage difference between the battery blocks exceeds the standard. When the malfunction detection condition is satisfied, the HV control ECU illuminates the MIL and sets a DTC.

    After the test drive is complete you are a part of the Buffalo Battery Herd!

  • We require a $250 Deposit to get scheduled. The deposit is deducted from the cost of the battery.

    We understand life happens. The Deposit is Refundable if the Install is cancelled with more than 24 hours notice before the time of the installation appointment.

  • We will make our best effort to do the Installation at the time agreed. Your Installation Technician can work in light to moderate rain, however there are situations where it can be unsafe to work outdoors. If the weather is unsafe for the Mobile Installation Technician, the installation appointment will be rescheduled.

  • Buffalo Battery believes in the quality of our products and offers a couple different warranty lengths including a new 48m warranty for New Sodium Ion Batteries.

    Every Reconditioned Battery is made to the same standards. There is no difference between a 1 and 2 year warranty battery.

    The Warranty is not an insurance policy. It covers the hybrid battery if it fails pre-maturely on its own. External factors that we cannot control are not covered such as rodent or water damage. View the warranty for more details.

    Every warranty is unlimited mileage and includes a stipulation that you drive the vehicle at least 30 miles a month to maintain the hybrid battery functionality.

  • Typical signs that a hybrid battery is going bad include a significant drop in gas mileage. Very rapid discharge completely down and rapid Charge to 100% are also common symptoms.

    When the HV battery is malfunctioning:

    Voltage of 1 or a few battery blocks are dropped. (voltage difference from that of next block is 1 V or more.)

    Voltage of all battery blocks is output randomly with no pattern.

When the malfunction detection condition is satisfied, the HV control ECU illuminates the MIL and sets a DTC.

    Unfortunately there is not a set of symptoms that indicate it is 100% your hybrid battery. Please get your codes checked to ensure the hybrid battery is the issue.

  • In the Hybrid Battery World a Reconditioned Battery is a Hybrid Battery that has been taken apart into individual components and the modules go through a testing process to determine their strength. What sets Buffalo Battery apart is our rigorous testing process and we remake the voltage sensing harness and balance the packs so they can keep running your car for years!

  • We are located in Pittsboro, NC. We usually say near Raleigh because it’s the closest city people will recognize.

    We travel from NC to your location. The aftermarket hybrid battery industry is highly competitive and we simply wouldn’t be able to capture enough demand to justify having a dedicated installer for your city.

  • Look, we get it. You want the lowest price you can possibly get. There are other companies who offer similar products that are much cheaper than us. This is for a reason. We go through great lengths to make sure we’re giving you the best possible price we can while maintaining our strict quality standards. All that being said, if you decide you’d like to try your luck haggling us we will simply steer you in the direction of one of those cheapie cheap companies that are in your price range. May the odds be in your favor.
